TERT
TERT telomerase — the molecular target that 1 compounds in the wiki act on.
In one line: The enzyme that rebuilds the protective caps on your DNA (telomeres).
TERT is the working part of telomerase, the enzyme that rebuilds "telomeres" — the protective caps on the ends of your chromosomes that shorten each time a cell divides and with age. The peptide epithalon is claimed to switch it on to lengthen these caps.
Two cautions: the evidence is largely old and hard to verify, and switching telomerase on is also something cancer cells do — so it's an intriguing but unproven longevity idea.
