Enclomiphene / Clomiphene (Clomid)
Evidence: ★★★★☆ · Status: Prescription, Off-Label
In plain English
Tricks the brain into thinking estrogen is low, so it revs up its own testosterone production — raising T without shutting the testicles down like TRT does.
How it works
Selective estrogen receptor modulator (SERM) — blocks estrogen receptor (ESR1) at the hypothalamus, removing estrogen's negative feedback so the brain releases more LH/FSH, raising the body's own testosterone. Enclomiphene is the purified active isomer.
Molecular target & official sources
ESR1 estrogen receptor alpha (NCBI Gene) · Clomifene (PubChem CID 2800)
Bottom line
Good option for younger men who want higher T while keeping fertility.
